Stumbled upon these intricate hand-painted eggs from Decorio Egg Crafts at the Legazpi Sunday Market a few weeks ago.
According to Ms. Mercy Florencio, proprietor of Decorio Eggs, they use a traditional Ukranian egg-dyeing method called Pysanky for each of their creations.
It is also worth noting that no two Decorio eggs are identical, each are made carefully and beautifully by Filipino artists.

Just want to share with you all some of the images from my recent trip in South Korea’s capital city, Seoul.
The recent war threat did not stop us from flying to what is dubbed as Asia’s City of Love. We braved the uber cold weather to visit some of the famous tourist destinations such as the N Seoul Tower and the Gyeongbokgung Palace.
I’m not really a fan of their food since I stay away from spicy food but I did indulge in their extremely cheap yet reliable cosmetics and beauty products.
Had a really great time and met a lot of fun people that makes me want to fly back there for another extended holiday! :)

Carmen Miranda Reloaded - Vogue Brasil February 2013
Even though this editorial starring model Mirte Maas graced the pages of Vogue Brasil last February 2013, I feel like it really deserves a spot in the blog because of the superb mix of prints, colors and accessories.
Photographed by Giampaolo Sgura and styled by Anna Dello Russo who did a great job putting all the elements together and made it work. Anna Dello Russo is known for her “over-accessorized” approach and this editorial is a good example on how well she does it. I always love the challenge of putting a lot of elements together to create a look because it surprises me to see accessories or clothes that I never thought would mix very well but looks good when you edit and put them together.

Its that time of the year again to put your creative feet forward!
This year Make Your Own Havaianas is raising the bar on self-expression by opening up new heights where every Havaianatico’s imagination can take off. The theme for this year’s event is “Imagination” and along with that, Havaianas is launching its first ever collaboration with a Filipino illustrator, the talented and one of my favorites, Dan Matutina.
“Dan Matutina + Havaianas” will be the first glow-in-the-dark MYOH commemorative pair with carbon blue sole and showing two spacemen with space markers connecting the stars to form images—representing how Havaianas invites each and everyone to let loose their creativity brought about by their boundless imagination.
So guys, mark your calendars! Make Your Own Havaianas 2013 is set to be launched on May 2 to 5 at the Rockwell Tent! See you all there! :)

Duro Olowu for JCPenney Spring/Summer 2013
JCPenney’s first designer collaboration features London-based fashion designer Duro Olowu. The Nigerian-born designer whose creations were worn by First Lady Michelle Obama took classic silhouettes and mixed it with bold hues, shapes and prints to come up with a collection that holds true to his design aesthetics.
Olowu’s inspiration on mixing statement prints, patterns and color were taken from his native Africa. These are seen also in the accessories and home decor included in the collection.
As you may all know, I am a big fan of prints, colors and creations with bold stand-out colors but what I also love about this collection is that they are quite affordable! (ranging from $10 to 100) woohoo! :)

You’d think that coming up with beautifully crafted patterns like these require so much thinking, hard work and effort. But for Kathy Klein, the artist behind Danmala (In vedic sanskrit dān: the giver, mālā: garland of flowers the giving of flower circles),she has to be in complete silence while her mind is kept in mantra.
She puts herself in a meditative devotional space and while at that state she gathers flowers, leaves or any natural object around her. Then she allows these materials to organically turn themselves into these stunning creations.
I admire artists like Kathy who let their creativity fall through, without anything planned and just taking into consideration their inspiration or their current state of mind to come up with something very beautiful and intricate. Aside from that I really liked the fact that her works are centered on the environment and meditation.
